Senior Tax Analyst, Attorney
Do clients care about why someone became a lawyer?
In Colleen Nilson’s case, maybe so.
Colleen’s path to a law degree was really a twist of fate.
While in college, she began volunteering with agencies that assisted refugees. As her interest in International issues broadened, she decided she would be more effective as a lawyer than a volunteer.
This has helped in her role at The Tax Defenders.
Clients notice she has a different approach: teaching, including and then
fighting for individual outcomes.
Today, Colleen helps clients understand the complicated legalese of taxation laws and breaks it down for them in plain English. Clients trust her compassionate approach during challenging tax and legal issues.
