Ashley Schoot
Enrolled Agent

Ashley brings a distinctive blend of teaching experience and social services insight to the tax profession. She earned her B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech before building a career that included teaching in Duval County Public Schools and volunteering in community support roles, such as with the Together Program and Sanctuary on 8th Street.
She also served as a Child Protective Services intern, an experience that deepened her commitment to helping others navigate challenges with patience and understanding.
This foundation in education and service naturally led her to tax work, where she now focuses on simplifying complex IRS issues and guiding clients toward stronger financial futures. Previously with Community Tax LLC, Ashley joined The Tax Defenders to continue making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Prior to moving south the Florida, Ashley was a lifelong Virginian from Richmond.
Outside the office, Ashley cherishes time with her family, her pit bull Sav, and bearded dragon Zella. She always strives to improve and finds great fulfillment in building trusting relationships that help clients regain control and confidence.
