Genie Bruce loves a challenge. Working at TTD, brings Genie a sense of purpose by helping clients take a deep breath and relax as they navigate the stressful trials of tax litigation. Every day offers a new and unique challenge where she can help better people’s lives and learn along the way. She has earned a reputation around the office and with clients for being helpful, friendly, and resourceful.
Born and raised in Belize, Genie earned her Associate’s degree in Business from the University of Belize, where she is currently finishing her Bachelor’s in Accounting. Through hard work and determination, she won the second-place award for her excellence in accounting studies. In 2014, she won the CXC Tertiary Level Scholarship. Before working at TTD, Genie worked for Caribbean Investments Ltd, The Belize Collection, Save On Resorts, and Community Tax LLC.
In her spare time, Genie donates her time to the Benque Viejo Neighborhood Watch Zone 4 Program in their Arts and Craft Program as a photographer, graphic designer, video editor, and coordinator. When she’s not working hard behind a desk, she likes to feel the breeze in her hair and ride motocross or take a spin on a Ninja. She’s not afraid to dive right in; the higher the platform the better, it gives her more time to try a cannon ball or a flip. Hiking, camping, and exploring calls her name too. When she’s not adventuring, Genie is at home with her Pomchi, Luna, who she has nicknamed Chillona or “Cry Baby” because of the little whines she lets out throughout the day.
